Act I In which we are told a great many things, and we learn who you are

In order to communicate your message effectively online, we'll need to know who you are offline. We'll ask you all sorts of questions to get to know you better, almost certainly including the following:

  • What is your mission or purpose?
  • What are your short term goals for the project?
  • What are your long term goals?
  • What audience or audiences are you targeting?
  • Why will they come to you?
  • What do they need to get out of their visit?

Act II In which a map is made and a plan is set in motion

Good web design doesn't actually start with a design; it starts with information architecture 2. Based on what we've learned about you, we'll make a map of all of the pages on your site, how they link to each other, and what content goes on each. At this stage we'll know what features your site will need, and what special technologies it will employ.

Act III In which strategy meets beauty, and your design is created

While the architecture of your project is vital, so is presenting the information in a clear manner that fits within your own style and brand. We work with you to design an aesthetic and layout that is instantly recognizable as you. Design for the web is all about taking existing brand and massaging it to conform to the limitations — and the possibilities — of the internet.

We've spent years studying and perfecting best practices for internet design, and in the end we will create something you can't resist showing off and bragging about3.

Act IV In which code is written and your message takes to the web

Once your design is complete, we actually code the website using state-of-the-art technology, adhering to accessibility guidelines and just plain good design sense.

This includes not only an attractive front-end for your visitors, but also a back-end that lets you easily manage and administer your project.

At the end of it all, we will deploy the finished site to get it online as quickly as possible.
